Foxhog’s Negative Marketing Campaign

Foxhog CEO Tarun Poddar said the firm deliberately posted negative comments about itself on Reddit, arguing that “every publicity is a good publicity” and that negative publicity yields greater reach than positive content. Spokesperson Priya Chuahan added that the negative campaign achieved a “shocking” higher audience reach compared with a positive campaign, aligning with the company’s objective to inform the public that Foxhog also operates as a venture capital (VC) investor.

Foxhog claims to have invested in more than 200 companies since 2020, focusing on small businesses, farmers, dairy owners and shopkeepers. The firm states it operates in over 23 Indian states and in six countries, and it has recently become a public company.
