Programme Overview

Furtados School of Music (FSM) and Corvuss American Academy have jointly launched an exclusive international high‑school residential programme designed for students in Grades 8 to 12 who are committed to pursuing music with purpose, discipline and global ambition. The initiative combines a WASC‑accredited American high‑school framework with the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum, while placing an immersive music specialisation at the core of daily learning.

Academic and Musical Curriculum

Students will receive rigorous training across performance, musicianship, music theory, composition, ensemble practice and creative expression. Academically, they will follow the AP curriculum and are required to sit for the demanding AP Music Theory examination. In parallel, they will undertake internationally recognised practical assessments through Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). The programme also offers individual mentorship, curated performance opportunities, and clearly defined international pathways to leading universities and conservatories worldwide.

Institutional Legacy and Positioning

The collaboration builds on FSM’s 150‑year legacy in music education and leverages Corvuss American Academy’s accredited academic excellence, establishing a new benchmark for specialist music education in India. The press release notes that admission will be highly selective, targeting students ready to commit fully to their artistic development.
