Campaign Launch

GAIL (India) Limited announced on 7 October 2026 from New Delhi the launch of Season 2 of its consumer‑awareness initiative "Wah Kya Energy Hai". The second season comprises four short‑format films released simultaneously on GAIL’s official YouTube channel.

Campaign Content and Messaging

The films, each running approximately eight to ten minutes, follow the Mishra family through everyday scenarios such as a short trip to Varanasi, a boat ride, family celebrations, visits to relatives and an event at Senior Mishra’s factory. Through humour‑laden storytelling the episodes promote cleaner fuel options—including CNG, PNG, industrial PNG (IPNG), LNG, domestic PNG (D‑PNG), commercial PNG (C‑PNG) and compressed biogas (CBG)—and illustrate how these fuels can be integrated into domestic, commercial and industrial applications. The campaign specifically targets a diverse Indian consumer base with a special focus on Generation Z, recognising their influence on future consumption patterns.

Anthem Details

Alongside the films, GAIL unveiled a campaign anthem titled "Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy" with a runtime of over four minutes. The video showcases consumers and communities across age groups—from children and young adults to senior citizens and members of the defence forces—and highlights GAIL’s first floating CNG station in Varanasi as well as newer offerings such as CBG. The anthem is being distributed on major music‑streaming platforms including Spotify, Amazon Music, Gaana and JioSaavn.

Promotion and Distribution

The awareness drive is being amplified through GAIL’s social‑media channels, influencer and audience‑engagement initiatives, digital banners, radio outreach, cinema‑chain advertising and gamification‑led activations. Short‑format content is further repurposed as social‑media shorts and other digital formats to extend reach.

Executive Commentary

Mr Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) and head of Corporate Communications & Branding at GAIL, stated that "Wah Kya Energy Hai Season 2, along with our anthem Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy, is an endeavour to kindle greater awareness about clean energy choices and environmental responsibility among consumers." He emphasized the logical, grounded storytelling aimed at encouraging Indians to adopt smarter, future‑ready fuel choices and noted the inclusion of Gen Z as catalysts for the energy transition. Gupta also referenced GAIL Utkarsh, the company’s CSR initiative supporting bright students from under‑privileged communities, and the floating CNG stations in Varanasi as examples of GAIL’s broader social and economic contributions.
