Galgotias University Rankings and Institutional Highlights

Galgotias University announced on 30 September 2026 that it has risen 24 places in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, now positioned at 41st among all Indian universities and 20th among private institutions, up from 65th overall and 27th among private universities in the 2026 edition. Globally, the university moved from the 1201‑1500 band to the 1001‑1200 band.

In the QS World University Rankings 2027, Galgotias placed in the 1201‑1400 global band, ranking 16th among private Indian universities, 46th among all Indian universities and third among private universities in Uttar Pradesh. The 2027 QS edition evaluated 2,297 universities from 118 countries, an increase from 2,191 the previous year.

Research Profile

The university reported more than 9,940 Scopus‑indexed publications, over 80,780 citations and an h‑index of 104. Seven faculty members are among the world’s top 2 percent of scientists, and the institution holds 16 government‑funded research projects from agencies such as ICSSR, ANRF, CSIR and SERB.

International Partnerships

Galgotias expanded its global engagement with a five‑year cooperation agreement with the University of Milano‑Bicocca (Italy) and a Letter of Intent with Krirk University (Thailand). In Japan, it signed an MoU with the Yamanashi Prefectural Government and a Letter of Intent with the University of Yamanashi, accompanied by a 200‑member delegation led by Governor Kotaro Nagasaki, focusing on talent mobility and clean‑energy research including green hydrogen. Vietnamese collaborations involve Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, and the Saigon Hi‑Tech Park ecosystem, targeting academic cooperation, applied research and semiconductor initiatives.

A partnership with Girton College, University of Cambridge, enabled 16 Galgotias students to attend a fully university‑sponsored two‑week summer programme in Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship in 2026. Collaboration with YNOV Campus (France) supports master’s programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Computer Science, structured as one year of study in India followed by one year in France. The university’s Galgotias Student‑Centred Active Learning Ecosystem (G‑SCALE) receives consultancy and mentorship from InSPIRE at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, to embed practical projects and collaborative problem‑solving into everyday learning.

Industry Partnerships and Curriculum Innovation

Accenture partnered with Galgotias to launch AI‑embedded BTech and BBA programmes, with 40 percent of the curriculum delivered by Accenture experts. The Galgotias‑Tata Technologies Future Mobility Centre of Excellence trains students in electric‑vehicle technologies, embedded and software‑defined vehicle systems, and mechanical design. An iOS Development Centre, powered jointly by Apple and Infosys, was featured by Apple for its student developer programme.

Student Outcomes

In 2026, Galgotias students received more than 5,500 job offers from over 1,250 recruiters. Winners of Apple’s Swift Student Challenge increased from 10 in 2025 to 18 in 2026. Student‑developed applications include “Sakhi”, a menstrual‑health companion, and “Auticare”, which supports early autism screening.
