Galgotias University Earns Platinum Subject Rating in Education
On 6 October 2026, Galgotias University announced that it has been awarded the Platinum Subject Rating in Education by QS I‑GAUGE, an India‑focused rating system that benchmarks institutions and individual subjects against defined quality indicators. The rating follows an independent assessment of the university against the performance indicators prescribed in the QS I‑GAUGE subject rating methodology, providing an external benchmark of its performance in the discipline of Education.
The university’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Dhruv Galgotia, stated that the Platinum rating recognises the high expectations set for education quality and that the institution will now focus on sustaining standards and translating improvements into tangible benefits for students.
Rankings Context
In the QS World University Rankings 2027, Galgotias University is placed in the 1201‑1400 global band, ranked 46th among Indian universities, positioned among the top 16 private universities in India and third among private universities in Uttar Pradesh. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, the university moved up to the 1001‑1200 global band from the previous 1201‑1500 band, climbing 24 places to rank 41st among all Indian universities (previously 65th) and rising to 20th among private universities (up from 27th).
