Launch of Industry‑Integrated Specialisations

Galgotias University and Larsen & Toubro’s L&T EduTech announced the introduction of nine co‑taught specialisations that will commence with the 2026 intake for engineering, computer science, information technology and BCA programmes. The collaboration follows extensive discussions between university leaders, faculty and L&T EduTech programme teams, and adopts a co‑teaching model where university faculty and L&T professionals jointly design and deliver the curriculum.

Programme Structure and Credits

Each specialisation consists of eight industry‑aligned courses amounting to 24 academic credits. Engineering specialisations span eight semesters, while the BCA specialisation covers six semesters. Students will undertake an L&T‑supported industry project every semester, applying learned concepts to real‑world challenges.

  • Civil Engineering: Multimodal Transportation Infrastructure with AI/ML
  • Mechanical Engineering: Digital Manufacturing Using Artificial Intelligence and Cyber‑Physical Systems
  • Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering: Semiconductor Design Framework for Industrial ICs
  • Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering: Advanced Specialisation in Electric Vehicles
  • Computer Science & Information Technology: Four options – AI Techniques and Machine Learning Algorithms, Applied Data Science with Python, Cyber Security, Full‑Stack Web Development
  • BCA: Agile and DevOps

These specialisations address emerging trends in infrastructure, mobility, manufacturing, electronics and digital operations, reflecting the convergence of AI, software, and hardware across sectors.

Industry Engagement and Learning Resources

L&T experts will co‑teach, conduct technical training sessions, and share knowledge from live engineering and technology projects. Students will receive semester‑long site immersion visits to L&T facilities, gaining exposure to engineering, safety, project management and execution practices. Computer Science and IT students will have access to L&T’s SOLVE platform for regular coding practice, while all learners will use the L&T Skill Exchange platform for internships and final placement opportunities.

Competitions, Certifications and Recognition

L&T will organise hackathons, quizzes and other competitions, with top performers each semester receiving certificates and rewards. Over the course of the degree, students can earn eight to nine industry certifications, along with globally recognised certificates and digital badges issued by Larsen & Toubro. Professionals from LTIMindtree, L&T Semiconductor Technologies and L&T Construction will deliver guest lectures, introducing students to technical roles across the L&T Group.

Dr Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, emphasized that graduates of the 2026 cohort will enter industries transformed by AI, semiconductors, electric mobility, digital manufacturing and cyber security, making continuous industry engagement essential.

Additional Initiative

Alongside the integrated programmes, L&T EduTech has established India’s first Advanced Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence at Galgotias University, further strengthening the university’s capability in emerging technology domains.
