Galgotias University announced that two of its students achieved top honours at the Global Youth Diplomacy Model United Nations (GYDMUN) held in Malaysia, underscoring the institution’s growing presence on international academic platforms.

Awards at GYDMUN Malaysia

Sahil Rana, a BA (Hons.) Political Science student from the School of Liberal Education, Class of 2027, received the Best Delegate Award, while Amaan Lone, a B.Tech. Data Science student from the School of Computer Science, Class of 2028, was bestowed the Outstanding Delegate Award. The conference attracted delegates from more than 25 nationalities, and the awardees were recognised for their research depth, confident presentation, persuasive public speaking, diplomatic negotiation and critical thinking under pressure.

Additional International Achievements

The university highlighted further successes: at EDVentures 2026, hosted by The Education University of Hong Kong, Galgotias student teams represented India against 19 teams from 10 countries, with Project TACTO winning the top spot for an inclusive, sensory‑based coding education solution for visually impaired learners, and Tekurious Pvt. Ltd. reaching the global finals for its immersive virtual‑reality‑based learning platform. In Apple’s Swift Student Challenge 2026, 18 students from the iOS Development Centre were selected among only 350 worldwide winners, addressing challenges in accessibility, education, healthcare, artificial intelligence and augmented reality; two of these students earned distinction for the second consecutive year. Moreover, under a memorandum of understanding with the University of Cambridge, Galgotias fully sponsored 16 students for a two‑week Summer Programme at Girton College, exposing them to frugal artificial intelligence, innovation, entrepreneurship, strategic thinking, global leadership communication, business modelling and executive storytelling, culminating in a capstone venture pitch.
