Galgotias University has entered into a five‑year cooperation agreement with the University of Milano‑Bicocca, Italy. The pact was signed by Professor Giuseppe Gorini, Vice Rector for International Development and Academic Cooperation of Milano‑Bicocca, and Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University.
The agreement aims to deepen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. It provides for the exchange of undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post‑doctoral students, as well as faculty members, researchers, visiting scholars and staff. Joint activities will include research projects, scientific publications, conferences, workshops, summer schools and training programmes. The universities will also co‑supervise undergraduate, master’s and doctoral theses in accordance with each institution’s regulations.
Implementation will be overseen by designated representatives from both sides, who will prepare an annual action plan, identify funding opportunities and monitor progress. Further written agreements may be executed subject to institutional approvals and the availability of financial support.
Students participating in exchanges will be exempt from enrolment and tuition fees at the host university while remaining administratively attached to their home institution. Visiting students, researchers and staff will receive access to academic and research facilities, subject to institutional regulations and resource availability.
The partnership follows Galgotias University’s recent international engagements: a MoU with the Yamanashi Prefectural Government and a Letter of Intent with the University of Yamanashi in Japan (August 2026), collaborations with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance and the Saigon Hi‑Tech Park in Vietnam, an MoU with Girton College, University of Cambridge, and a Letter of Intent with Krirk University, Thailand. The new Italy agreement expands the university’s network into Europe, complementing its existing ties in Asia and the United Kingdom.
