Galgotias University Expands International Academic Ties through LOI with Thailand’s Krirk University

On 25 September 2026, Galgotias University, based in Greater Noida, announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Krirk University, Bangkok, Thailand. The LOI was executed by Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Vice President for International Affairs of Krirk University, and Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University. The agreement sets out a framework to explore collaboration across education, research, student mobility, and faculty development.

The two institutions intend to develop joint and collaborative academic programmes, co‑design curricula, and facilitate knowledge exchange. Proposed research cooperation includes joint initiatives, collaborative publications, and access to shared research facilities. Additional focus areas comprise student exchange, credit‑transfer mechanisms, faculty training, entrepreneurship development, and women’s leadership programmes.

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia stated that the engagement “strengthens our connections with Thailand and builds on the academic relationships we are developing across Japan, Vietnam, France, and the United Kingdom,” emphasizing the goal of providing students with global classroom exposure, shared research opportunities, and cross‑cultural competence.

The LOI builds on Galgotias University’s broader international outreach. Recent highlights include:

  • Hosting a 200‑member delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, led by Governor Kotaro Nagasaki, during which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Yamanashi Prefectural Government and an LOI with the University of Yamanashi were signed to cooperate on talent mobility and clean‑energy research, including green hydrogen, healthcare education, and workforce development.
  • Strengthening ties in Vietnam through collaborations with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). The UEF engagement focuses on innovation, applied research, and faculty development, while the MoU with HUTECH underpins student and faculty exchange, joint research, and industry linkages.
  • Partnering with YNOV Campus in France to offer Indo‑French dual‑campus master’s programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Computer Science, structured as one year at Galgotias University and one year at YNOV Campus.
  • Collaborating with Girton College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, under an MoU that enabled 16 Galgotias students to attend a two‑week summer programme on Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship in 2026, fully sponsored by Galgotias University.

The new LOI with Krirk University extends Galgotias’ Southeast Asian engagement, creating a basis for both institutions to identify shared priorities and develop mutually agreed activities across the identified focus areas.
