Students from Galgotias University secured the top prize at EDVentures 2026, a global innovation and entrepreneurship competition hosted by The Education University of Hong Kong.
Two teams represented India among 19 teams from 10 countries, presenting inclusive STEM learning solutions for visually impaired learners, addressing the accessibility gap in coding education.
Project TACTO, developed by Gaurang Pant, Shristi Mandoliya, and Kavya Singh, uses buttons, sensors, and audio feedback to teach coding concepts through touch and sensory interaction, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4.
The startup Tekurious Pvt Ltd was also selected as a global finalist, showcasing a virtual‑reality immersive learning platform.
Project TACTO received the AWS Championship Prize and total prize money and support worth USD 7,000.
Galgotias University fully sponsored the teams’ participation and international travel, reflecting strong startup support under CEO Dr Dhruv Galgotia.
The university is ranked in the 1201‑1400 global band by QS and Times Higher Education 2026 rankings, holds NAAC A+ accreditation, and reported over 5,100 job offers to students in 2026.
