Galgotias University was honoured with the ‘Excellence in Industry‑Aligned Curriculum & Entrepreneurship Ecosystem’ award at the Times Now Education Summit 2026, National Edition. The award was presented by Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, who serves as Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, underscoring governmental endorsement of industry‑linked higher‑education initiatives.
Curriculum and Industry Collaboration
The university’s strategy focuses on integrating industry expertise from the outset of a degree rather than as a terminal intervention. It has formal collaborations with Accenture LearnVantage, IBM, L&T EduTech, Tata Technologies, Microsoft and byteXL, which contribute contemporary technologies and applied learning to curriculum design and delivery. These partnerships support more than 20 Centres of Excellence and advanced laboratories on campus, providing students with access to cutting‑edge tools in artificial intelligence, advanced computing, electric mobility, software and application development, and other emerging technologies.
Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Through the iOS Student Developer Program—featured by Apple on its global platform—students develop real‑world applications using Apple technologies. To date, Galgotias students have created over 85 apps that are live on the Apple App Store. In 2026, 18 students won the Apple Swift Student Challenge, an increase from 10 winners in 2025. The university currently incubates more than 135 startups, of which over 30 have begun generating revenue. An INR 10 crore Galgotias Innovation Fund further supports promising ideas and ventures emerging from the university community.

Galgotias University serves a vibrant student community of over 50,000 learners and maintains a global alumni network exceeding 100,000 graduates. In the QS World University Rankings 2027, the university is placed in the 1201‑1400 global band, ranked 16th among private universities and 46th among all Indian universities. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 position it in the 1201‑1500 global band, 27th among private universities and 65th among all Indian universities. The institution holds a NAAC A+ accreditation, one of the highest quality ratings in India.
Academic Offerings and Placement Outcomes
The university offers programmes across engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science, semiconductors, business, law, media, design, health sciences, hospitality, liberal education and other interdisciplinary domains. In 2026, students secured more than 5,500 job offers from over 1,250 recruiters. The university’s industry and innovation partnerships extend to Apple, Infosys, Intel, Cisco, Capgemini, Salesforce, in addition to the earlier‑mentioned collaborators.

Dr Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, emphasized that universities and industry can no longer operate at a distance, stating that curricula must reflect evolving technologies, professions and business models, with industry participation from the beginning.
