Garmin announced that it was honoured with Amazon India’s “Most Advanced Health Monitoring Smartwatch” award at the Best in Tech Awards 2026 (BITA 2026) ceremony held on September 18, 2026 in New Delhi. The award recognises the advanced health, fitness and performance monitoring capabilities embedded in Garmin’s smartwatch range.

Market Context

According to IDC’s India Wearable Market Report for the second quarter of 2026, the overall Indian smartwatch market contracted 4 percent year‑on‑year. In stark contrast, Garmin’s shipments of its advanced smartwatches grew 234.2 percent year‑on‑year during the same quarter, underscoring a significant outperformance relative to the broader market decline.
