Gaurav Gupta Opens First Permanent Paris Showroom

On 5 October 2026, Indian couture house Gaurav Gupta will open the doors to its inaugural permanent showroom in Paris, located at 6 Rue Jean Goujon in the 8th arrondissement’s Golden Triangle. The 300‑square‑metre space is housed within a historic 1930 building designed by French architect Charles Lemaresquier, whose architectural character the brand sought to preserve while introducing its own language.

The interior showcases Indian craftsmanship, artworks and furniture designed by Gaurav Gupta, juxtaposed against the building’s original identity. Leading the new Couture Salon is Jean‑Paul Cornut, who brings more than ten years of Parisian Haute Couture experience, including his previous role as Haute Couture Director at Elie Saab. Cornut’s appointment is intended to establish and develop the salon as a permanent home for the house in Paris.

The permanent showroom enables the couture to exist beyond the limited days of Paris Haute Couture Week, allowing the brand to spend additional time with garments, clients and the creative conversations that shape each piece. Gaurav Gupta emphasizes that this intimacy is essential, noting that couture requires time from concept to final garment and that the relationship with the wearer should receive comparable attention.

The opening represents a significant moment for Indian couture, reflecting years of effort to embed Indian creativity within the global couture dialogue. Since presenting the Shunya collection at Paris Haute Couture Week in 2023, the house has dressed high‑profile cultural figures such as Beyoncé, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shakira, Kim Kardashian and Fan Bingbing, and maintains retail partnerships with luxury retailers Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale’s.

The press release is issued under an arrangement with NRDPL, with PTI noting it takes no editorial responsibility for the content.
