GE Vernova T&D India Bags Power Grid HVDC Contract

Contract Award Details

GE Vernova T&D India Limited has received a Letter of Award dated November 3, 2026 from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for the design and establishment of a 6000 MW, ±800 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) LCC Terminal Station (2x3000 MW).

The project is specifically for the evacuation of renewable power from Barmer II to South Kalamb.

This award follows the company's previous intimation dated September 7, 2026, where the company had qualified as the L1 bidder for this project.

The company and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited shall execute the definitive agreement in due course.
