General Electric Secures $2.87 B Navy Engine Logistics Contract
General Electric Co. (NYSE:GE) has been awarded a five‑year, performance‑based logistics contract by the U.S. Department of War valued at $2.87 billion. The contract, identified as N00383-26-D-UA01, requires GE to provide logistics support for 17 components of the F414 engine that powers the Navy’s F/A‑18 E/F/G aircraft fleet. No option periods are included in the agreement, and the work is slated for completion by August 2031.
Execution of the contract will be geographically split, with 90 % of the effort performed at GE’s facilities in Lynn, Massachusetts, and the remaining 10 % carried out in Jacksonville, Florida. At the time of award, Fiscal 2026 working‑capital funds totaling $198.22 million have been committed, of which $148.67 million—representing 75 % of the committed amount—has been obligated for delivery order N00383-26-F-UA01. These funds are designated as non‑expiring, and any subsequent delivery orders under the contract will be funded with appropriate fiscal‑year working‑capital funds from the Navy, which are also non‑expiring.
The contracting activity is the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support located in Philadelphia. The Department solicited a single source under the sole‑source authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and received one offer, resulting in the award of the contract to GE.
