Gerresheimer CEO Resigns, Shares Drop 6%
Shares of Gerresheimer fell more than 6% in early Tuesday trading after the company announced that interim Chief Executive Officer Uwe Röhrhoff had resigned at his own request, effective immediately, ahead of the scheduled end of his mandate in October. The Supervisory Board had appointed Röhrhoff to the interim CEO role in November 2025. The board said that during his tenure, together with Management Board members Wolf Lehmann and Achim Schalk—both newly appointed in 2025—the team succeeded in stabilising the company and addressing key issues.
Chief Financial Officer Wolf Lehmann will assume the responsibilities of CEO on an interim basis until further notice. The announcement also referenced a deal signed at the end of July 2026 to sell the U.S. subsidiary Centor together with Gerresheimer’s global Primary Packaging Plastics business. The company said the transaction will allow it to significantly streamline its capital and financing structure and substantially reduce its leverage.
