GHCL Limited has commenced commercial production of a new product "Vacuum Salt" (Sodium Chloride, NaCl) effective August 31, 2026. The production facility is located at the company's existing Soda Ash plant in Sutrapada, Near Veraval, District Gir Somnath, Gujarat - 362275.
The vacuum salt production has an annual capacity of 1.7 lakh metric tons (170,000 MT). The company notes that this new production will be helpful for harnessing surplus energy at the facility.
