Giftex Launches The Collectors' Cove – 80,000 sq ft Invitation‑Only Event
On July 7, 2026, Giftex issued a press release announcing the inaugural edition of The Collectors' Cove, an invitation‑only cultural platform created for collectors, patrons, family offices and discerning connoisseurs. The two‑day event is scheduled for 1–2 August 2026 at Mumbai’s iconic Ballard Pier Downtown Experience Centre, occupying over 80,000 square feet of uninterrupted waterfront space.
The platform is presented in association with HSBC India, underscoring a shared focus on wealth preservation, legacy creation and cultural patronage. Spatial design has been conceived by internationally acclaimed architects Sanjay and Ayesha Puri, who have transformed the venue into an architectural journey that blends light, scale and storytelling to encourage discovery, contemplation and conversation.
A signature feature of the inaugural edition is a first‑of‑its‑kind immersive artistic experience that pays homage to Indian visionary M.F. Husain. The multi‑sensory journey animates Husain’s celebrated horse paintings, allowing visitors to step directly into the energy and movement of the works, and is complemented by a curated extension of collectible objects inspired by his visual language.
"At Giftex, we believe the future of luxury collecting lies not only in acquiring exceptional objects, but in creating extraordinary experiences around them. The Collectors' Cove is a natural extension of that philosophy where exceptional craftsmanship, timeless design and collectible excellence come together through carefully curated experiences that inspire meaningful engagement," said Aparna Batra, Chief Business Officer of AstaGuru Auction House. She added that the platform aims to build a vibrant community of collectors, designers, connoisseurs and cultural enthusiasts, fostering deeper appreciation for the art of collecting.
The curated selection spans fine art, jewellery, haute horology, home and interiors, collectible design and luxury collectibles. International highlights include de Gournay, the British maison known for hand‑painted wallcoverings, and SWE ME, a Dubai‑based jewellery house making its India debut with a limited‑edition high jewellery presentation. The Swiss haute‑horology segment is represented by Time Avenue, showcasing visionary watchmakers such as Konstantin Chaykin, HYT, Manufacture Royale, L'Epée 1839, Reuge and Buben & Zorweg.
Indian jewellery curators feature Sunita Shekhawat (renowned for reviving traditional meenakari), Farah Khan Fine Jewellery, Shri Paramani Jewels (museum collection pieces), Sanjay Gupta (heritage jewellery from his private collection), Ravi Kheni (sculptural creations with rare antique diamonds), Gyan Jaipur (global retail through Bergdorf Goodman), and other distinguished houses such as Karshev, Mehta & Sons, Mèroh, Shanti Brothers, Kohinoor Jewels, Rare Heritage, Choksey's 1983.
Collectible design and interiors will feature Jaipur Rugs, Beyond Designs, Paola Paronetto, Talia James, Firefly Lighting, Splendour Living, Sikao Design Cell, Audio Houzz, Embelliish, Tabula Rasa, Claome, Tania Whalen, Arjun Rathi Design, Hands & Minds, with additional international maisons to be announced closer to the event.
Guests will have access to private art walkthroughs, collector‑led tours, one‑on‑one advisory sessions with leading specialists, and a series of power panels with influential voices from art, luxury, design, wealth management and collecting. Interactive workshops will provide deeper insights into craftsmanship, collecting and connoisseurship, catering to both seasoned collectors and first‑time buyers.
The program also includes an exclusive Opening Soirée, networking sundowners and a celebratory Closing Party, creating intimate settings for HNIs, UHNI families, designers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to connect. Culinary experiences, developed in collaboration with celebrated Indian restaurant Masque, will offer conceptual dining that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and storytelling through food. Experience partners Boheim (multi‑sensory speakeasy bar) and Floating Canvas Company (interactive artistic experience) further enhance the visitor journey.
The Collectors' Cove is positioned as India’s definitive destination for collectors, uniting rare works, collectible objects and exceptional brands under the shared values of rarity, craftsmanship, provenance and storytelling.
