Global Defence Industries Limited submitted a regulatory disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI LODR Regulations regarding a significant development at its subsidiary.
The company announced that Globe Forge Limited, its subsidiary, has commenced commercial operations of its state-of-the-art artillery shell manufacturing line located at MIDC, Shirdi, Maharashtra, India. The commercial production began effective May 23, 2026.
The facility was formally inaugurated by three high-profile dignitaries: Shri Rajnath Singh (Hon'ble Defence Minister of India), Shri Devendra Fadnavis (Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra), and General Anil Chauhan (Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces).
This milestone represents a significant advancement in India's defence manufacturing ecosystem and aligns with the Government of India's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" initiative, which aims to strengthen indigenous capabilities and enhance self-reliance in the defence sector. The commissioning underscores the company's commitment to contributing to the nation's strategic and defence requirements through advanced manufacturing and innovation.
