Godrej Industries Limited has submitted a regulatory filing containing a press release announcing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Haryana. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on August 24, 2026.

Investment Details

The MoU outlines a future investment plan of approximately ₹20,000 crore in Haryana state, with the potential to create around 40,000 jobs. This investment builds on the Group's existing footprint where it has already invested approximately ₹12,000 crore and currently employs around 9,000 people across its businesses in the state.

Business Segment Breakdown

Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) will be the primary investment driver:

  • Has invested approximately ₹11,000 crore in Haryana to date
  • Plans to invest a further ₹16,000 crore by FY28 (financial year 2028)
  • This will take GPL's total investment in Haryana to approximately ₹27,000 crore
  • Currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra
  • Future projects expected to create more than 11,000 jobs

Godrej Ventures (real estate private equity business):

  • Plans to invest a further ₹3,500 crore in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram

  • Operates five branches in the state
  • Has facilitated approximately ₹550 crore in bookings through its financing business

Godrej Consumer Products:

  • Has a network of 42 direct distributors
  • Has more than 250 rural stockists across the state

Corporate Social Responsibility and Infrastructure

  • The Group spends approximately ₹1 crore annually on CSR initiatives in Haryana
  • Spends more than ₹10 crore on infrastructure-level initiatives in the state
  • Initiatives include strengthening support systems for construction workers, providing weather-related insurance, and supporting restoration and beautification of public spaces in Karnal and Kurukshetra
