Project Overview

Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) and RC Group, in partnership with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), have inaugurated the newly developed pedestrian corridor along LK Mehta Marg. This marks the first completed public infrastructure project under the Bandra Bay Beautification Initiative.

Project Details

The pedestrian corridor is designed to:

  • Enhance pedestrian safety
  • Ease movement
  • Make Bandra Bay a more welcoming, walkable and vibrant address for Mumbai

This represents Phase 1 of a larger plan for the bay's edge that will include:

  • Green promenade
  • Open lawns
  • Pet park
  • Quiet reading zone
  • Amphitheatre

Future Phase 2 plans include:

  • Mini golf course
  • Sports and activity zone
  • Direct connection of LK Mehta Marg to the waterfront

Inauguration Event

The corridor inauguration was attended by Adv. Ashish Shelar, Hon'ble Minister for Electronics, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra, and MLA, Bandra West. The event featured community activities including:

  • Stationary cycles that lit up with pedaling
  • Walking challenge along the waterfront
  • Open-format Zumba session
  • Gentle yoga class
  • Face painting, pottery and diya painting
  • Healthy bowls and seasonal fruit juices
  • Emotion tracker for visitors
