Investment Overview
Gradiente Infotainment Ltd, a leading entertainment and digital media company, announced a phased investment of approximately ₹5,000 crore aimed at accelerating India’s “Orange Economy” as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Board of Directors in Hyderabad authorised the first phase of this plan.
Funding Plan
The company intends to raise $110 million, equivalent to about ₹1,050 crore, in the initial round of financing to upgrade its digital infrastructure and expand content creation capabilities.
Project Portfolio
Two flagship project clusters were disclosed:
- One hundred vertical micro‑dramas will be produced with a budget of ₹15 crore. The short‑form series are targeted at social‑media, OTT and mobile platforms, and are expected to generate roughly ₹25 crore in revenue by 31 March 2027, with filming locations across Europe, Africa and India.
- One hundred international music videos will be created with a budget of ₹50 crore. These videos are expected to deliver about ₹75 crore of revenue by the end of FY 2027.
Combined, the two clusters represent a ₹65 crore outlay and are projected to contribute ₹100 crore in revenue by FY 2027.
Strategic Intent
Managing Director Dr. Vimal Raj Mathur stated that the ₹5,000 crore investment is intended to position India as a global creative hub, enhance “Brand India” visibility in emerging markets of Africa and Europe, and generate new employment opportunities across movies, OTT platforms, fashion, advertising, music and live events.
Timeline
The micro‑drama and music‑video projects are slated for completion and revenue realization by the end of FY 2027, with the micro‑drama revenue target set for 31 March 2027.
