Overview
On Friday, 16 October 2026, Green Solution Industries, a Pune‑based Indian industrial group, and the International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center (INDRC), a Czech non‑profit research institute headquartered in Prague, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore joint research, technology development and knowledge exchange. The signing ceremony was attended by Green Solution MD Sagar Ahiwale, INDRC CEO Dr. Vít Dočkal, Czech First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry & Trade Karel Havlicek, and Maharashtra Minister for Protocol Jayakumar Rawal.
Purpose and Scope
The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation that will enable the parties to identify areas of mutual interest and explore initiatives with potential scientific, technological and societal benefits. Potential collaborative activities include pilot projects, workshops, seminars, conferences and other knowledge‑sharing programmes. The agreement also provides for the identification of funding opportunities, grants and programmes to support mutually agreed initiatives.
Institutional Background
INDRC was established in 2021 as a non‑profit research institute focused on advancing understanding, early detection, prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. Its interdisciplinary research integrates biology, medicine, artificial intelligence and advanced computational approaches, linking universities, research institutions, clinical centres and industry partners. Green Solution Industries, under the leadership of Sagar Ahiwale, is pursuing international institutional partnerships and technology‑oriented initiatives, seeking to complement its industrial experience with scientific expertise.
Financial and Implementation Terms
The MoU is a framework agreement and does not, by itself, commit either organization to a specific research project, financial investment or guaranteed outcome. Project responsibilities, budgets and implementation arrangements will be agreed separately as feasible opportunities are identified.
Significance
The MoU marks a step towards strengthening institutional engagement between India and the Czech Republic, with a focus on research, innovation and the exchange of expertise that could yield scientific and societal benefits.
