On September 11, 2026, GreenEx Environmental hosted India’s first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Conference 2026 at the Taj Lands’ End, Bandra West, Mumbai, Maharashtra. The event convened policymakers, regulators, international EPD programme operators, sustainability experts, and senior representatives from leading Indian and multinational manufacturing companies to discuss environmental transparency and sustainable manufacturing.

Conference Programme

- The complete EPD journey, from LCA modelling and data collection to verification and publication through recognised global programme operators
- Challenges faced by Indian businesses and opportunities for stronger collaboration among industry, regulators, programme operators, and sustainability professionals
- Technology‑enabled EPDs and considerations for selecting appropriate EPD programmes for Indian industries
- A panel discussion on “EPD Publication Strategy – Trust, Technology, and Programme Selection” featuring experts in verification, sustainability, manufacturing, and EPD platforms
- Industry case studies demonstrating how companies are moving from sustainability commitments to measurable, verified, and transparent environmental information across product value chains
Objectives and Outcomes
The conference aimed to raise awareness of EPDs, facilitate knowledge exchange on global best practices, and explore pathways to accelerate EPD adoption in India. Speakers emphasized that credible, science‑based environmental data can help Indian manufacturers meet evolving global sustainability standards, build greater trust with stakeholders, and make sustainability efforts more measurable and globally relevant.
