Greenply Introduces TermiVax – India's First Anti‑Termite Vaccinated Plywood

On 11 August 2026, Greenply Industries Limited, a leading interior infrastructure company in India, announced the launch of TermiVax, described as one of the country’s first anti‑termite vaccinated plywood products. The technology is powered by a proprietary nanotechnology compound for which a patent application has been filed. The nanotech formulation penetrates deep into the plywood, ensuring comprehensive coverage that protects against termite damage throughout the product’s lifetime, a significant improvement over conventional surface coatings and post‑installation chemical treatments that tend to lose effectiveness due to cutting, drilling, moisture exposure, and wear.

The product has been thoroughly tested and received approval from the Indian Plywood Industry’s Research & Training Institute (IPIRTI). Greenply’s Joint Managing Director, Sanidhya Mittal, stated that the innovation addresses a major consumer concern in India, where climatic conditions accelerate termite infestations, and reflects the company’s commitment to delivering durable, future‑ready interior solutions.

TermiVax will be incorporated across Greenply’s entire product portfolio, including the Greenply Marine 710, Greenply Gold, Greenply Platinum, Greenply Club 500, and Greenply Club 700 ranges. The company, with a 42‑year legacy in the wood panel sector, operates five state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities and offers a broad suite of products such as plywood, MDF, block boards, flush doors, decorative veneers, PVC, and flooring for both domestic and export markets.

Greenply’s distribution network spans more than 1,100 cities, towns, and villages across 27 states and six union territories, supported by over 2,300 dealers and authorized stockists, a retail footprint of more than 6,000 outlets, and more than 50 physical and virtual branches nationwide. The press release was issued under an arrangement with NRDPL, with PTI noting it takes no editorial responsibility for the content.
