Existing Capacity
The current combined capacity of Greenply Industries Limited and its subsidiaries is 52.80 million square meters per annum. Additionally, 13.50 million square meters of capacity is under construction in Koraput, Odisha.
Capacity Utilization
The existing capacity utilization is nearly 98% of the 52.80 million square meters capacity.
Proposed Capacity Addition
The subsidiary plans to add 15.00 million square meters of new production capacity.
Implementation Timeline
The proposed capacity is scheduled to be added by Q4 of FY 2028.
Investment Requirements
The expansion requires an approximate investment of ₹125 crores.
Financing Mode
The investment will be funded through:
- Term loans from banks
- Equity infusion from the holding company (Greenply Industries Limited)
- Internal accruals
Rationale for Expansion
The Company expects near-term demand for plywood and allied products to exceed the available capacity that the Company and its subsidiaries presently have. This anticipated demand growth necessitates the capacity expansion.
Subsidiary Information
The expansion will be undertaken by Green Ply Sandi La Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenply Industries Limited, located at Sandila, District Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
