GSPL Transmission Limited's equity shares commenced trading on BSE Limited (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) on September 30, 2026. This listing represents the final step in implementing the GSPC Group Scheme of Arrangement, following all necessary approvals from SEBI and the Stock Exchanges.
Corporate Background
GSPL Transmission Limited is a Resulting Company from the GSPC Group Scheme of Arrangement, into which the Gas Transmission Business of erstwhile Gujarat State Petronet Limited ("GSPL") was demerged.
Operational Highlights
The company operates a strategically located transmission network within Gujarat covering 26 districts, providing direct connectivity to major natural gas supply sources and key demand centers across the state. The network connects to all significant natural gas supply points in Gujarat, including designated collection points near natural gas fields of various gas field operators.
GTL owns and operates approximately 2,900 kilometers of Natural Gas Transmission Pipelines in Gujarat, most of which are high-pressure pipelines. The company is currently the Second Largest Gas Transmission Company in India.
Expansion Plans
The company has firm plans to expand its Gujarat network by laying an additional 711 kilometers of pipelines, including:
- Anjar Palanpur Pipelines (approximately 284 km) with EPC Contract already awarded at an estimated cost of approximately ₹1,800 Crores
- Jamnagar Dwarka Pipeline project in Dwarka district which will connect to major gas source in Kutch basin
- Other pipelines under implementation include Dahej-Bhadbhut Pipeline, Vantewad Rajpipla Pipeline, and Bhayla connectivity
These expansions are expected to augment GTL's gas transmission network and improve Transportation Tariff.

Shri M K Das, IAS, Chief Secretary to Government of Gujarat and Chairman of GTL, stated: "Today GTL is the Second Largest Gas Transmission Company in India with its 2900 KMs of Gujarat Natural Gas Pipeline Network, on Open Access Basis.
