Announcement
HARTING Technology Group, a global industrial connectivity provider, announced on 13 October 2026 in Chennai that it has joined the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem as a power‑system component provider for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform.
Solution Details
The company will supply power‑whip cable assemblies that move power from the building distribution point to each rack. The offerings cover the transition from the first‑generation 480 VAC architecture to the second‑generation 800 VDC architecture of NVIDIA MGX. Specifically, HARTING will deliver a 100 A/480 VAC power whip for the 3‑RU 110 kW power shelf of the Vera Rubin NVL72 platform, and a next‑generation 157 A/800 VDC DC‑DC power whip that connects the power infrastructure directly to the compute rack.
Strategic Rationale
Philip Harting, Chairman of the Board and CEO, said AI is fundamentally changing data‑centre infrastructure and HARTING’s expertise in high‑power environments positions it to support the next generation of AI. Christian Gysin, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Board member, highlighted that moving from 480 VAC to 800 VDC is a significant step requiring connectivity that can handle higher power while maintaining reliability, safety and scalability.
Market Visibility
HARTING will be featured on the NVIDIA AI Factory MGX Ecosystem wall at the OCP Global Summit 2026 and will display the two power‑whip solutions at its booth (C79). Executives from HARTING will attend the NVIDIA MGX ceremony.
