Havells India Limited has submitted a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 regarding capacity expansion at its cable manufacturing facility.
Current Status Update
As of the reporting date (16th July, 2026), the company has partially completed the expansion project. The facility has achieved an annual manufacturing capacity of 4,59,600 Kms of cables, compared to the previous capacity of 3,48,000 Kms per annum mentioned in the September 2024 intimation.
The company has invested ₹285 Crores in this phase of expansion to date, out of the total ₹450 Crores that was previously intimated.
New Expansion Plans
The company has decided to further expand the cable manufacturing capacity at the same Tumakuru facility. The new expansion will increase capacity from the current 4,59,600 Kms per annum to 7,34,640 Kms per annum.
This additional expansion requires an investment of approximately ₹255 Crores, which includes pending capital expenditure from the previous phase.
Project Timeline and Funding
The expansion project at Tumakuru is expected to be completed by December 2027. The entire investment for this expansion will be funded through internal accruals, indicating no external financing requirements.
