On July 9, 2026, HCLFoundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Urban Development Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The collaboration aims to advance sustainable waste management practices in three cities: Hardoi, Prayagraj, and Agra, in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Specific Initiatives
As part of the My Clean City program, HCLFoundation donated 10 E-drain carts and 10 E-garbage loaders to the Hardoi Nagar Palika Parishad, which were officially flagged off. Additionally, three reverse vending machines were unveiled. The foundation has also undertaken city beautification in Hardoi through wall art and plans to develop three markets and three wards in the city as model markets and model wards.
Program Background and Impact
My Clean City, launched in 2018, is HCLFoundation's flagship program redefining urban sanitation in Noida and Greater Noida. The program expanded to Agra, Hardoi, and Prayagraj in FY26. Key achievements include:
- 750,000 citizens sensitized on positive waste behavior
- 100,000+ stakeholders trained on waste management practices
- 22,000+ tons of waste managed
- 3,500+ school students engaged through MCC Waste Champions Club
