On August 3, 2026, HCLTech (NSE: HCLTECH, BSE: HCLTECH) confirmed the successful completion of its purchase of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) Telco Solutions business. The acquisition, first announced in December 2025, follows the earlier integration of HPE’s Communications Technology Group (CTG) business completed in 2024.

The transaction is positioned to strengthen HCLTech’s leadership in engineering‑led, AI‑driven telecom solutions for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that are accelerating network transformation, autonomous operations, and next‑generation infrastructure. By merging the expertise, talent, intellectual property and solution sets of HPE’s CTG and Telco Solutions units with HCLTech’s own engineering depth, AI capabilities and managed services, the combined entity aims to offer a differentiated proposition covering network virtualization, convergence, multi‑cloud, edge, datacenter networking, Network‑as‑a‑Service (NaaS), private 5G, and telecom OEM ecosystem transformation.
Integration Details
The acquisition expands HCLTech’s presence across the CSP market in North America, Latin America, Europe and the Asia‑Pacific region, including Japan, thereby enhancing its ability to support global operators through local delivery capabilities. The deal brings approximately 1,400 engineering and telecom specialists into HCLTech’s workforce, spread across 39 countries, and bolsters near‑shore delivery capacity in locations such as Japan, Spain, Romania, Italy, India and Latin America. The combined portfolio now includes industry‑leading IP, solutions and integration services for Telecom Operational Support Systems (OSS), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), 5G Subscriber Data Management (SDM), as well as HCLTech’s existing customer‑experience solutions, telecom network functions, virtualization, media and video, industrial IoT, data intelligence, Business Support Systems (BSS), Service Management and Orchestration (SMO), digital twin, AI‑led intelligent applications on radio, and eSIM capabilities.
