Strategic Expansion

HCL Technologies Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Odisha to establish a world-class Global Technology Center in Bhubaneswar. The facility will focus on innovating and delivering AI-led digital solutions to global enterprises.

The Technology Center will complement HCLTech's proposed AI Data Center in the upcoming Odisha Sovereign AI Park. The facility is designed to house 5,000 people and is expected to commence operations by 2028.

Employment and Talent Development

The investment is expected to contribute to both direct and indirect employment generation in the region. HCLTech plans to engage deeply with local educational institutions and the government through structured interventions to boost the local talent ecosystem with focus on next-generation skills development.

Management Commentary

Rahul Singh, COO – Corporate Functions, HCLTech, stated that through the company's New Vistas initiative, they are focused on expanding presence across India to bring opportunities closer to where talent is located. He noted that Odisha offers a great mix of quality infrastructure and vibrant talent pool.

Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, welcomed HCLTech's decision, stating that their presence will further embellish Bhubaneshwar's status as one of India's most promising technology hubs.
