Operational / Strategic Disclosures
HCLTech has been selected by TIM Brasil, described as the 5G leader in Brazil, to enable South America's first cross-platform eSIM transfer capability. This digital innovation will enhance mobile telephony experience for millions of users across Brazil by providing greater flexibility in device usage and switching, while accelerating adoption of next-generation mobile services across the region.
The solution leverages HCLTech's Device Entitlement Gateway (DEG) platform, allowing TIM Brasil customers to transfer their eSIM profiles securely and seamlessly across devices and operating systems. This capability enables switching between different smartphone brands or upgrading to new devices without requiring physical store visits, SIM card swaps, or complex migration processes. The transfer process is described as requiring only "a few taps on the screen" while maintaining high standards of security and reliability.
Anil Ganjoo, Executive Sponsor of Brazil and Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Telecom, Media and Technology at HCLTech, commented: "As connectivity becomes increasingly software-driven, operators need platforms that simplify service delivery while unlocking new customer experiences. Our collaboration with TIM Brasil brings together HCLTech's engineering-led, AI-intrinsic platforms to enable seamless, interoperable eSIM experiences and help transform the telecom operator towards a more agile, AI-driven and device-agnostic future."
