HCLTech Achieves ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Certification

On July 7, 2026, HCLTech (NSE: HCLTECH, BSE: HCLTECH), a global technology services firm, announced that it has been awarded ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification. The certification, the world’s first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, validates the company’s Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) and confirms its capability to govern AI responsibly across the full AI lifecycle.

The certification was issued by Schellman Compliance, LLC, an accredited certification body recognized by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). Schellman’s certification confirms that HCLTech’s AIMS covers AI‑enabled services and platforms, notably the AI Force platform, as well as software engineering, IT operations and business process services.

According to Avani Desai, Chief Executive Officer of Schellman, the certification demonstrates that HCLTech has embedded responsible AI governance into daily operations, a differentiator as enterprises move from AI experimentation to enterprise‑wide adoption. Vijay Guntur, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech, stated that the certification provides independent assurance that AI is governed responsibly through HCLTech’s certified AI Management System, reinforcing the company’s ability to support client AI deployments with confidence.

The AIMS framework aligns with evolving global regulatory requirements, including the European Union AI Act, thereby positioning HCLTech to meet emerging compliance expectations.
