HDFC Bank Appoints Law Firms After Chairman Resignation

HDFC Bank's Board on March 23, 2026 appointed external domestic and international law firms to review Mr. Atanu Chakraborty's resignation letter.
The Bank clarified Chakraborty did not cite any practices or happenings incongruent with personal values or ethics in his resignation.
The appointment follows the March 18, 2026 intimation of Chakraborty's resignation as Part-time Chairman and Independent Director.
