HeidelbergCement India Limited has disclosed entering into a Mine Development and Production Agreement (MDPA) with the Department of Mineral Resources, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The agreement has a duration of 50 years and pertains to the Sukha–Satpara Limestone Block located in District Damoh, Madhya Pradesh.
The mining block admeasures approximately 216 hectares and was secured by the Company through an auction conducted in 2023. According to the Geological Report of the Government, the block contains estimated limestone resources of approximately 63 million tonnes.
