Press Release Overview
Herbalife International India Private Ltd. participated in the RISE for Healthy Ageing Conference 2026, hosted by the Longevity India Initiative at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru on 17 August 2026. The company highlighted its commitment to advancing healthy ageing in India through science‑backed nutrition, metabolic wellness, innovation and collaboration, noting the rising burden of diabetes, obesity, hypertension and other non‑communicable diseases.
The two‑day conference assembled scientists, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, innovators and industry leaders from Indian and international institutions to discuss the role of artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, biomarkers and nutrition science in enabling predictive, preventive and personalized healthcare.
As part of the event, Herbalife hosted a virtual workshop titled “Healthy Ageing Begins with Healthy Metabolism,” which engaged more than 20,000 associates, preferred customers and employees across India. The workshop emphasized scientific credibility, practical relevance and an interactive format, with participants valuing insights on metabolism, sleep, stress management, physical activity, community impact and healthy lifestyle habits. A key takeaway was the importance of community support for sustained behaviour change.
Managing Director Ajay Khanna stated that as populations live longer, the focus must shift from merely extending lifespan to improving healthspan, with metabolic health forming the foundation for healthy ageing. He added that platforms such as the RISE conference facilitate meaningful dialogue between academia, healthcare and industry to translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions.
Prof. Deepak Kumar Saini, Professor of Developmental Biology and Genetics at IISc, remarked that healthy ageing requires a deeper understanding of biological, clinical and lifestyle factors, and welcomed the partnership with Herbalife, whose evidence‑based health and wellness approach aligns with the institute’s goal of translating research into community‑benefiting solutions.
About Herbalife: listed on NYSE (HLF), the company operates in more than 90 markets, offering science‑backed food products through independent distributors who provide one‑on‑one coaching and a supportive community.
