Strategic Initiative Overview
Hero MotoCorp announced a comprehensive investment roadmap totaling over Rs 3,200 crores in Andhra Pradesh, with the foundation stone laying ceremony for its second Global Parts Centre (GPC) in Tirupati representing the initial phase of this expansion.
Investment Details and Capacity Expansion
The Tirupati Global Parts Centre involves an investment of over Rs 750 crores and will serve as a strategic nerve center for the company's domestic and international spare parts operations. The investment will transform Tirupati into a world-class manufacturing and electric mobility hub, with the plant's annual production capacity expected to scale aggressively to 1.2–1.5 million units. The company confirmed that 100% of its electric vehicle portfolio is entirely designed, engineered and manufactured at the Tirupati plant.
Employment and Economic Impact
The expansion is expected to generate approximately 4,000 employment opportunities, aligning with both the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the Government of Andhra Pradesh's SwarnAndhra vision. Beyond direct employment, the Global Parts Centre will act as an economic catalyst to deliver sustained benefits in the region.

- The "Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal Heroes of Tomorrow Scholarship" program will provide full tuition coverage for meritorious students pursuing engineering degrees at state IIITs across 28 districts
