CEO Appointment
Hexaware Technologies Ltd (NSE: HEXT), an AI‑first digital and IT services firm, issued a press release from Mumbai on September 2 2026 announcing that Vivek Jetley will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on October 28 2026. He will replace Srikrishna Ramakarthikeyan, known as “Keech”, who has led the company for twelve years and will step down as CEO and board member on the same date, remaining on‑site as a Senior Advisor to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.
Vivek Jetley brings more than twenty‑five years of experience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data, enterprise transformation and strategy. He has a proven record of scaling global businesses, managing large profit‑and‑loss responsibilities and creating new growth engines during periods of technology disruption, from data and cloud to generative AI. Prior to joining Hexaware, Jetley served as President of EXL, overseeing its Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences businesses, and earlier as President and head of EXL Analytics, where he built advanced analytics, AI services and enterprise data‑management capabilities for Fortune‑500 clients. He entered EXL in 2006 through the acquisition of Inductis, a specialized analytics consulting firm where he was a partner, and has since held multiple leadership roles involving corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, innovation and several acquisitions.
Larry Quinlan, Non‑Executive Chairman of Hexaware, thanked Keech for his twelve‑year contribution, stating that Keech leaves a strong foundation for the next phase of accelerated growth and welcomed Jetley to lead the company forward. Sandra Horbach, Hexaware board member and Chair of Americas Corporate Private Equity at Carlyle – a major shareholder – expressed excitement about supporting Jetley and highlighted the company’s AI‑led services as a key growth engine. Jetley, in his acceptance remarks, described the appointment as a defining moment for the IT services industry, emphasizing that AI adoption is fundamentally reshaping service delivery and enterprise value creation, and pledged to accelerate Hexaware’s AI‑led transformation globally. Keech, in his farewell note, reflected on the achievements during his tenure, expressed confidence in the company’s future, and affirmed his commitment to assist during the transition.
