Announcement
Hexaware Technologies (NSE: HEXT), a global provider of IT solutions and services, issued a press release on 15 September 2026 from Mumbai announcing its collaboration with the Project NANDA Fellowship. The fellowship is a three‑month, fully remote program that gives developers hands‑on experience building open‑source infrastructure for the emerging Internet of AI Agents.
Program Details
The fellowship is hosted by FAN, the umbrella program behind Project NANDA, and is supported by Hexaware as part of its participation in the open agentic web ecosystem. It tackles the defining technical challenge of how autonomous AI agents discover, verify, and coordinate with one another at scale within agentic AI workflows. Fellows will contribute directly to Project NANDA, an initiative that originated at the MIT Media Lab and is building foundational infrastructure, standards, and reference implementations for an open, decentralized Internet of AI Agents. Their work advances components such as agent discovery, verifiable identity, and secure coordination across organizational boundaries.
Cohort Composition
The inaugural cohort will comprise more than 10 fellows, a mix of Hexaware engineers and external developers selected from a global applicant pool. Each fellow receives a competitive stipend, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to ship code that becomes part of live, open‑source agentic infrastructure rather than a classroom exercise. The cohort size is kept small to preserve close mentorship and meaningful contribution for every participant.
Hexaware Objectives
Hexaware states that the association serves a twofold objective: training the next generation of AI infrastructure engineers and contributing to the open agentic web and broader open‑source community. The initiative complements Hexaware’s own investments in agentic AI, including its AI delivery layer, Zerovity™. It also extends the company’s engagement with research and developer communities shaping how AI agents will operate in production.
Application Process
Applications are open worldwide and can be submitted via https://lnkd.in/dZPPCQtY. The priority review deadline is 19 September 2026; applications received by that date are given priority consideration.
