On 13 June 2026, Hexaware Technologies Ltd (NSE: HEXT), a global provider of IT solutions and services, officially opened a new delivery centre at Gujarat International Finance Tec‑City (GIFT City), India’s premier international financial services hub. The inauguration was conducted by Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Purpose and Service Offering
The GIFT City centre is designed to serve Hexaware’s global banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) clients. It will deliver a portfolio that includes digital solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud transformation, data engineering and next‑generation software services, thereby extending the company’s technology and innovation capabilities for financial institutions worldwide.
Job Creation and Workforce Plan
Hexaware disclosed that the new centre will create approximately 1,000 high‑skilled jobs over the next three years. The roles are slated to span software engineering, digital transformation, AI, cloud, data analytics, business operations and customer‑experience services, leveraging India’s talent ecosystem.
Strategic Context and Existing Presence
The company highlighted its established footprint in Ahmedabad and the broader Gujarat region as the foundation for this investment, noting that the GIFT City centre adds to Hexaware’s growing delivery network across India and aligns with its strategy of being closer to customers while capitalising on the state’s policy framework and talent pool.
Executive Remarks
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director R. Srikrishna stated that the centre represents a strong endorsement of Gujarat’s position as a globally competitive destination for financial services and technology, and expressed enthusiasm for contributing to the state’s technology landscape and career opportunities.
Chief Financial Officer Vikash Kumar Jain added that GIFT City’s convergence of financial services, technology and innovation made the decision clear, citing the quality of talent and supportive policy environment as key factors.
