HiLITE Cyber Tower Groundbreaking
Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the HiLITE Cyber Tower, an IT hub being developed by HiLITE Group at Cyberpark in Calicut, Kerala. The project represents a capital investment of Rs 600 crore and is classified as a Grade‑A commercial building.
The tower will occupy 2.5 acres of land with a built‑up area of 9 lakh sq ft. It is designed to attract multinational corporations, high‑growth start‑ups and advanced research & development centres, and is expected to generate over 10,000 direct IT employment opportunities.
HiLITE Group’s broader roadmap includes the development of 12 million sq ft of office space over the next few years and 50 million sq ft of projects slated for completion by 2030, which the Chief Minister said will create approximately 200,000 jobs across Kerala. The government aims to position Calicut as a major IT destination alongside Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.
The tower is scheduled for completion within two years and will be pre‑leased ahead of its finish. The building will adhere to stringent green standards, featuring smart, sustainable and energy‑efficient infrastructure, and will provide flexible, future‑ready workspaces to foster global collaboration and digital transformation.
The ceremony was attended by senior political leaders including Minister for Industries, IT & AI P. K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for Revenue A. P. Anil Kumar, MP M. K. Raghavan, several MLAs, and senior officials such as Seeram Sambasiva Rao IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & Information Technology. Corporate representatives included P. Sulaiman, Chairman of HiLITE Group, Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, and Tony Joseph, Principal & Partner, Stapati Architects.
Chairman P. Sulaiman emphasized the project’s role in showcasing Kerala’s cost‑effective and skilled talent pool, while CEO Ajil Muhammed highlighted the need for an ecosystem that enables businesses to innovate and expand. The development builds on HiLITE Group’s existing IT footprint, with the HiLITE Cyber Hub already under construction in Calicut and the YOO Hub Trivandrum, India’s first branded IT park at Technopark Phase III, recently launched.
