HiLITE Cyber Tower Groundbreaking – Rs 600 crore Grade‑A IT Hub in Calicut

On Monday, 5 October 2026, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the HiLITE Cyber Tower at Cyberpark, Calicut, Kerala. The project represents a Rs 600 crore investment by HiLITE Group to develop a Grade‑A commercial IT building that will occupy 2.5 acres and provide a built‑up area of 9 lakh sq ft. Designed to meet stringent green standards, the tower will offer smart, sustainable and energy‑efficient workspaces aimed at multinational corporations, high‑growth start‑ups and advanced research & development centres.

The tower is part of HiLITE Group’s broader plan to create 12 million sq ft of office space over the next few years, and contributes to the state’s ambition of delivering 50 million sq ft of development projects by 2030, which the government expects will generate around 2 lakh jobs across Kerala. Specifically, the HiLITE Cyber Tower is projected to create more than 10,000 direct IT employment opportunities, accelerating socio‑economic growth in the Malabar region. Construction is slated for completion within two years, and the facility is already being pre‑leased ahead of its finish.

The ceremony was attended by senior political and industry leaders, including Minister for Industries, IT & AI P.K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for Revenue A.P. Anil Kumar, MP M.K. Raghavan, several MLAs, Special Secretary IAS Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Infopark CEO Susanth Kurunthil, and HiLITE Group executives P. Sulaiman (Chairman) and Ajil Muhammed (CEO). In his remarks, the Chief Minister emphasized Kerala’s vision of re‑imagining the state through advanced technologies and innovation, stating that projects like the HiLITE Cyber Tower showcase the state’s cost‑effective, skilled talent pool and will help position Calicut alongside Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi as major IT destinations. Minister Kunhalikutty highlighted confidence in HiLITE Group’s execution capabilities and noted that such mega‑projects will attract further investment and create employment tailored to the new generation. Chairman P. Sulaiman and CEO Ajil Muhammed reiterated the commitment to building an ecosystem that enables global collaboration, innovation and digital transformation.

The HiLITE Cyber Tower builds on the Group’s existing IT footprint, with the HiLITE Cyber Hub already under construction in Calicut and the YOO Hub in Trivandrum – India’s first branded IT park at Technopark Phase III – having been launched earlier.
