HiLITE Group Announces New Hospitality Leadership and Expansion Target

On 10 July 2026, HiLITE Group disclosed that Neka Sulaiman, the daughter of Group Chairman P. Sulaiman, has assumed the role of Director of HiLITE Holdings, taking charge of the Group’s hospitality division. In her new capacity, she will steer the Group’s hospitality expansion strategy, which aims to develop 1,000 hotel keys across Kerala by the year 2030. The planned portfolio will span luxury, upscale, and mid‑scale hotel segments, creating a diversified hospitality offering.

Kozhikode has been highlighted as a focal market for this initiative, supported by the city’s expanding business, tourism, healthcare, and education ecosystem. Neka emphasized that the objective is not merely quantitative but also to build appropriate hospitality infrastructure that integrates with the city’s cultural and social fabric.

The press release also outlines Neka’s background: she previously worked with Hug a Mug, HiLITE Group’s home‑grown café brand, gaining hands‑on experience in operations, customer service, and team coordination. Academically, she completed schooling at The White School International (International Baccalaureate), earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, and obtained a CMA qualification, strengthening her foundation in finance, management, and business strategy.

Chairman P. Sulaiman commented that Neka’s appointment reflects her commitment, character, and willingness to take ownership, noting that “the true measure of a leader lies in character, judgement and responsibility.” He expressed confidence that her fresh perspective will benefit HiLITE Group’s next phase of growth.

The announcement signals HiLITE Group’s strategic move beyond its traditional retail, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects into the hospitality sector, aiming to meet Kerala’s growing demand for quality hotel infrastructure while continuing the Group’s legacy under new‑generation leadership.
