Project Announcement
HiLITE Group marked the commencement of its YOO Hub Trivandrum project with a groundbreaking ceremony at Technopark Phase III in Trivandrum, Kerala. The event was attended by Minister for Industries, IT & AI P. K. Kunhalikutty, HiLITE Chairman P. Sulaiman, HiLITE CEO Ajil Muhammed, Technopark CEO Sandip Kumar IAS, and senior officials from KSITIL, KINFRA, and other agencies.
Investment and Scale
The YOO Hub is a Rs 300 crore investment covering approximately 5.37 lakh sq ft (about 537,000 sq ft) spread over 1.88 acres. The built‑up will comprise a basement, a ground floor, two dedicated parking levels and fifteen premium office floors, designed to meet Grade‑A standards.
Employment Impact
The development is projected to create roughly 5,000 direct employment opportunities, reinforcing Kerala’s ambition to become a leading destination for technology, innovation and AI‑driven enterprises.
Partnerships and Design
The hub is the first YOO‑branded IT park in India and the first IT project globally under the YOO brand. It is being delivered in exclusive collaboration with YOO and IWG, bringing YOO’s luxury design philosophy and IWG’s expertise in flexible, hybrid workspaces to the region. IWG will operate the business club at the core of the development.
Sustainability Certification
YOO Hub Trivandrum has obtained LEED v4.1 BD+C (Building Design and Construction) Core and Shell pre‑certification at the Platinum level, the highest rating from the U.S. Green Building Council, highlighting the project’s commitment to sustainable development.
Attendees and Government Support
Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty emphasized the project’s role in attracting global brands and generating quality jobs. Chairman P. Sulaiman described the hub as an investment in Kerala’s future. CEO Ajil Muhammed noted the need for premium infrastructure to attract multinational corporations. CEO Sandip Kumar highlighted the timing amid record market demand. YOO Chairman John Hitchcox and YOO Associate Badal Saboo expressed pride in introducing YOO’s design standards to India’s technology corridors.
