Hilti India’s Participation in STESSA 2026
Hilti India Private Limited took part in the 12th International Conference on the Behaviour of Steel Structures in Seismic Areas (STESSA 2026), which was hosted for the first time in India at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) from September 7 to September 9, 2026. The conference theme, “Bridging Research, Practice, and Innovation in Steel for Seismic Resilience,” brought together researchers, engineers, designers, and industry leaders to discuss advances in seismic‑resilient steel infrastructure.
During the event, Hilti India contributed a technical presentation that covered post‑installed anchoring systems, advanced base‑plate connections, and fastening design approaches that extend beyond existing code provisions. This presentation highlighted how Hilti’s engineering innovations can improve structural reliability and performance in seismic applications.
In addition to the presentation, Hilti India operated a dedicated exhibition booth where it showcased its full portfolio of fastening systems, engineering services, and digital construction solutions. The booth facilitated direct engagement with the global engineering and research community attending the conference.
The conference also featured an Industry‑Academia Conclave, providing a platform for deeper collaboration between research institutions and industry stakeholders. Hilti India’s involvement in this conclave underscored its commitment to translating research insights into practical, on‑site construction solutions.
Mr. Jayant Kumar, General Manager & Managing Director of Hilti India, stated that as India’s infrastructure projects become larger, more complex, and critical to national growth, resilience can no longer be an afterthought. He emphasized that stronger collaboration between academia, research, and industry is essential to embed resilience into design, construction, and maintenance practices from the outset, aligning with the broader vision of “Viksit Bharat.”
