Hindalco Industries Limited has commissioned a new aluminium bicycle component manufacturing facility located at Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. The facility will manufacture aluminium bicycle components including frames, rigid forks, handlebars, and wheel rims for supply to both domestic and international customers.
The facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing and finishing capabilities with the following annual production capacities:
- Approximately 500,000 frames and forks
- Approximately 750,000 handlebars
- Approximately 800,000 pairs of wheel rims
This project represents part of the Company's strategic initiative to expand its portfolio of value-added aluminium products and mobility-related applications.
