Hindustan Power received MoEF environmental clearance for a proposed 2×800 MW transitional power project at Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh.
The approval enables Phase II to move to detailed engineering and execution, following the commissioning of a 1,200 MW first phase in 2015‑16.
Chairman Ratul Puri highlighted the project’s role in boosting regional power capacity, grid stability and supporting India’s energy transition.
The company, active in thermal energy since 2008, focuses on renewable and transitional generation to strengthen the nation’s energy security.
