Mr. Amarendu Prakash has over three decades of experience in the steel industry, with expertise in operations, project execution, technology, and strategic management. He previously served as Chairman & Managing Director of SAIL, where he led the company's transformation agenda, capacity expansion, operational excellence, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives. Prior to this top role, he held key leadership positions including Director (In-Charge) of Burnpur and Bokaro Steel Plants. He is a Metallurgical Engineer from BIT Sindri and joined SAIL in 1991.
