Hisense India Launches Washing Machine Range
Hisense India, the wholly‑owned Indian subsidiary of the global Hisense Group, announced the entry into the Indian laundry segment with a new washing‑machine portfolio that includes both Top Load and Semi‑Automatic models. The Top Load series is offered in capacities up to 12 kg, while the Semi‑Automatic line reaches up to 14 kg, covering a capacity spectrum from 7 kg to 14 kg to suit varied household needs.
The Top Load machines feature an Eco Smart & Inverter Motor for quieter, energy‑efficient operation, India‑specific wash programmes, optional heater variants for enhanced hygiene, and a soft‑closing glass lid that combines premium aesthetics with convenience. The Semi‑Automatic models incorporate Roller Jet Technology for superior wash performance, a dedicated soak function for stubborn stains, elegant glass‑top designs, and robust build quality aimed at larger families.
Pricing begins at Rs 17,999 for the fully automatic Top Load models and Rs 11,999 for the Semi‑Automatic variants. The products will be launched with attractive introductory offers and will be distributed through leading retail outlets, partner stores across India, and major e‑commerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, and Reliance Digital.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, CEO of Hisense India, stated that the Indian washing‑machine market is projected to expand by more than 20 % by 2030, driven by rising urbanisation, higher disposable incomes, and growing demand for fully automatic and smart‑connected appliances. He noted that the smart washing‑machine segment already represents over one‑third of the market and is expected to continue its robust growth trajectory.
The announcement follows the recent introduction of Hisense India's Intelli Cool Pro air‑conditioner series and builds on the company's broader strategy to become a comprehensive home‑appliance brand in India. In February 2026, Hisense inaugurated its first Indian manufacturing facility at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing its commitment to local production under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Globally, Hisense maintains the No. 1 position in the 100‑inch‑and‑above TV segment (Omdia 2023–Q3 2025) and is a pioneer of RGB MiniLED technology. The group is also the official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, leveraging its global sports partnerships to enhance brand visibility.
